About the Course
Classes are available during term time and are run on Wednesday afternoons 1-4pm
This six week jewellery making course is a fabulous introduction for those who wish to learn basic silversmithing skills and techniques.
Learn everything you require to make your own silver jewellery. The techniques covered over the period include: sawing, annealing, filing, sanding and polishing and soldering. You will also learn about basic tools required.
Classes are kept to a maximum of 6 people to ensure that you receive the best support and guidance needed.
This is course is designed and run by tutor Hayley Priestley BA (Hons)
Hayley has had over 10 years teaching experience in secondary schools before deciding on a change of career in to jewellery making and design.
Having gained a degree (Jewellery & Object) in 2016 at the University of Lincoln, Hayley has run her own Jewellery supplies company Damson Silver and in 2018 has expanded the business to include Jewellery and Craft classes at her own workshop in Lincoln.
The Damson workshop is situated on the outskirts of Lincoln and is easily accessible by all transport links. The nearest train station (Hykeham) is within walking distance and free parking is available on site.
Disable access is also provided.
What's included in the price?
All base metals used are covered within the cost of the course including a small allocation of silver.
Extra materials can be purchased.
Hot/Cold drinks and a selection of biscuits are also provided.
